Location: Hybrid – your time will be split between our office/venue on the Bristol Harbourside, and your home or wherever you work. The People Team tend to all work from the office on a Wednesday.

Working hours: Full time, 37.5 hours a week, we are open to those looking to work flexibly or part time but require a minimum of 22.5 hours

About the role
You will lead and project manage activities to build an inclusive workplace experience that will foster a sense of belonging of our all our People. This will initially involve working with our partners such WECIL and leading on internal taskforces to become a Disability Confident Employer and an antiracist organisation.
This role will also involve also you collaborating with different teams to develop equitable career and work experience pathways into our organisation.
You will be collaborative, an advocate for representation, able to influence others and have experience of making innovative changes to workplace belonging, and development of career programmes.
What will you do in this role?
Role specific responsibilities
_This is a project-based role, where you’ll lead on all People Belonging projects within WTC. Currently we’re prioritising our anti-racism work and taking steps to become a Disability Confident Employer.
_To make sure we’re focusing on the projects that have the biggest impact you’ll research and implement the best practice to support our priority; People feel valued, have sense of belonging and be included in our workplace.
_Our BEDI and People strategies are clear in where we want to be before 2030, you’ll work with the People team and cross-departmentally to delivery on these aims.
_We have built some great relationships with our partner organisations, you’ll work to grow these relationships which aim to serve our people and wider society.
_You’ll lead on creating and evaluating our Working Experience and Trainee Programmes as pathways into WTC for our priority People.
_Build opportunities for coaching, development and knowledge sharing for a more collaborative, curious and inclusive culture that supports staff professional development.
_Spend time keeping up to date with best practice in inclusion and diversity, attending events and representing WTC and sharing your knowledge and expertise to aid others.
_We have a cross-departmental “Inclusion Team” which you’ll play a key part in.
What will you do in this role?
General responsibilities

_Safeguarding - 'Responsible for departmental safeguarding risk assessments, compliance and raising any concerns to manager/Designated Safeguarding Officer.'
_Fundraising - ‘Collaborate with the Development team on any funding bids and reports relating to your area of work; where applicable as project lead.'
_General responsibility for departmental compliance with GDPR.
_Support the People team with projects when required.
_Embed equity and inclusion in the working practices of the organisation.
_Occasional out of hours work and travel to events.
_Due to the responsibilities of this role, you will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
_Evaluate the outcome of your projects, striving to improve and take feedback from the wider organisation and our partners to reach our full potential.
What we're looking for from you
_You have a proven ability to work strategically and collaboratively to embed inclusive people practices in an organisation.
_You have strong experience of creating initiatives that will support all our People to feel a sense of belonging in our workplace.
_You have proven experience of embedding equitable practices related to people recruitment, onboarding and development.
_You have strong project management skills and are able to demonstrate an ability to deliver strategic outcomes in a timely manner
_You have relevant skills and experience of developing and/or managing work experience programmes for young participants and Disabled people.
_You have experience of developing and managing relationships within strategic partnerships such as schools and community organisations.
_You have an attention to detail and have experience of developing policies and procedures
_You have experience of training, coaching and mentoring people to support their professional development and learning.
_You have the ability to facilitate conversations and able to adapt appropriately to audiences of different ethnicities, age, ability and interest.
_A keen commitment to keep up to date with best practice in inclusion and diversity.
