Job description
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Transport Modeller to join the Transport Strategy team.
Having robust data and a strong evidence base is fundamental to making good decisions and targeting investment for the greatest effect. We are therefore looking to increase the data and transport modelling expertise and capacity within the Combined Authority to inform future transport and environment policies and programmes
The role will entail being hands on using, managing and maintaining various models held by the Combined Authority, with a particular focus on the new regional transport model. This will inform and provide evidence for emerging transport policy and projects including:
- the Joint Local Transport Plan and other strategies,
- aiding the assessment of schemes being delivered as part of key programmes, such as the CRSTS, and
- supporting the development of Local Plans within the region.
You will work alongside a talented and committed team of professionals across the Combined Authority, the Unitary Authorities, and consultants on a regular basis to deliver projects and outcomes for the benefit of the region and to deliver the agreed outcomes and priorities of the Metro Mayor.
