An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Peer Support work to join our Mental Health Teams in East Dunbartonshire. The post holder will work across the Primary Care and Community Mental Health Team. Promoting a recovery based approach. They will have lived experience of mental health problems and will support service users by sharing. their own experience of recovery. The role is to closely supported individuals to live independantly, empower them, manage their illness and seek unpaid and paid employment. As well as engaging with meaningful activitities and remain in employment. They have assisted in developing surveys, service improvement and engagement with patients. The peer support worker will support patients to establish greater control over their lives and support their recovery journey. The must have lived experience and will assist the individual to set and achieve their own unique recovery goals
