PCB Assembler
The Micha Design Company is a leading designer and manufacturer of Off-Grid Solar Charge Controllers and associated equipment, exporting most of our production to customers in the Middle East and North Africa. Due to expansion, we are now seeking to recruit an experienced PCB Assembler to join our team which will offer a wide variety of responsibilities to any enthusiastic candidate.
Key Aspects of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for building a wide variety of high quality printed circuit board assemblies relating to an extensive range of electronic controls.
The job will include light mechanical assembly, soldering, cleaning and inspection of the completed work pieces.

Essential Attributes
- Previous experience with through-hole and SMT soldering
- Awareness of the hazards relating to ESD sensitive devices and knowledge of
- methods employed in handling them safely
- Excellent precision and attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written English
- Ability to complete production paperwork clearly and accurately
Desirable Experience/Skills
- Ability to recognise electronic components and their values
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of and experience with a range of hand tools such as torque drivers
- Trained to solder to IPC-WHMA-A-620 standards
Although desired, the experience/skills listed above are in no way critical as training will be given where necessary.
General responsibilities and other duties
- Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping is upheld within the production environment (5S principles)
- Ensuring the Company's Health & Safety, security and quality strategies, policies and objectives are adhered to
- Maintaining our safe, healthy and harmonious working environment through effective team working and observance of regulations
Salary & Schedule
- From £11/hr based on experience
- 35 hours per week, with flexibility of weekday working hours, Monday to Friday
- Overtime offered during busy periods
- 28 days holiday per annum (includes 3-day end-of-year site shutdown and Bank Holidays)
