Attention all finance superstars! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts and Payroll Administrator to join our team.
As the Accounts and Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our financial operations. You will be the key player in managing our day-to-day financial activities, including processing payroll, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and managing our accounts payable and receivable.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail, with a proven track record in managing finances and payroll. You should be highly organized and able to work well under pressure, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage weekly payroll for approximately 20 employees
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare and submit HMRC and VAT returns
- Work closely with the directors to identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Minimum of AAT/NVQ qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting and payroll administration
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
