Join the Payroll Team!
As a Payroll Data Analyst on the Payroll Governance team you'll be responsible for data analysis and data integrity, risk analysis and quality controls. This means providing support by analyzing and reconciling data, evaluating existing processes, identifying process gaps, identifying areas for improvement, and developing the appropriate controls for each.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform data quality checks, audits and analysis to identify data problems. Identify root cause of problems, and implement appropriate corrective action
- Apply quality improvement techniques by developing analytics where necessary
- Providing general support of Payroll system through testing, researching, analyzing, audit and maintenance
- Support the corporate Risk and Control Model. Coordination of Sarbanes Oxley testing, Payroll Controls testing, and any additional audit requests
- Administration of Payroll’s Records Management, Retention, and Data Destruction policies to ensure compliance to the firmwide guidelines
- Actively participate in various Pay & Time process improvement projects that include interacting with internal and external colleagues to achieve project deliverables
- Administration of User Access for multiple applications
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 3+ years Payroll and/or data analytics experience
- Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment across teams
- Exceptional analytical skills (ex. root cause analysis), attentiveness to detail and the ability to handle complex issues accurately and timely
- Understands key controls and how they impact the business from an operational and/or systems perspective
- Automation, process improvement and simplification experience, combined with a controls mindset
- Oracle Human Capital Management or equivalent payroll software experience and advanced Excel knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume and deadline focused work environment
- Proficiency with Alteryx, Tableau a plus
