Job description

The Payroll Associate is responsible for preparing and processing payroll for union and non-union employees. This position requires hourly, daily, and weekly deadlines to be met. Accuracy is key in this position. This position reports directly to the President of Hylan West.

Responsibilities:

• Entering payroll hours for certified, union, and non-union payrolls accurately and timely.
• Entering hours for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Calculate fringes, taxes, and deductions for certified payroll.
• Weekly deadline to submit certified payroll information to the DOL using LCP tracker.
• Provide weekly payroll report with employee hours to supervisors for approval.
• Ensure all payroll calculations are correct.
• Maintain accurate payroll records of employee hours worked.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.

Job Qualifications:

• Construction, multistate, union, and certified payroll experience required.
• Required software experience: Sage 300, ADP WFN.
• Experience with LCP tracker preferred.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary range: $22.00-$27.00/hour
