Job description
The Payroll Associate is responsible for preparing and processing payroll for union and non-union employees. This position requires hourly, daily, and weekly deadlines to be met. Accuracy is key in this position. This position reports directly to the President of Hylan West.
Responsibilities:
- Entering payroll hours for certified, union, and non-union payrolls accurately and timely.
- Entering hours for exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Calculate fringes, taxes, and deductions for certified payroll.
- Weekly deadline to submit certified payroll information to the DOL using LCP tracker.
- Provide weekly payroll report with employee hours to supervisors for approval.
- Ensure all payroll calculations are correct.
- Maintain accurate payroll records of employee hours worked.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
- Construction, multistate, union, and certified payroll experience required.
- Required software experience: Sage 300, ADP WFN.
- Experience with LCP tracker preferred.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
