The team you will be joining are friendly, passionate, and experienced individuals who work collaboratively together to ensure they are providing an excellent service across the whole of Companies House.
You’ll be part of our high profile and busy Payroll team within Companies House. Focusing on ensuring that our employees are paid the right salary and benefits on time. That employees are added to the payroll when they join and are removed from the payroll when they leave.
Our team prides themselves on delivering an excellent customer service to the department.
With a solution focused approach: you will be supporting all payroll and pension related enquiries and issues. We work alongside our HR function to ensure that we can deliver improvements to our services and operational delivery.
We are working in a Hybrid way and currently attending the office once a week which will be the expectation with this role.
Job description
Administration of payroll changes and queries, including, change of hours, work patterns, annual leave, and flexi
Checking accuracy of employee’s payslips and ensuring the correct deductions and payments are made.
Person specification
As our Payroll Support Officer, you’ll have fantastic attention to detail and really enjoy working with numbers.
Confident in your communication skills, we’re looking for someone who is prepared to use their own initiative and enjoys working as part of a team.
Having a continuous improvement ethos, you’ll look for ways to develop and improve common issues.
Desirable to have some payroll experience.

Selection process details
Candidates will be required to supply a CV and Personal Statement. The Personal Statement should be no more than 1250 words and address any experience, technical skills and Behaviours outlined in the person specification. These will also be explored at interview.
