Institute of Health Care Engineering (IHE)
The Institute of Healthcare Engineering (IHE) stimulates and supports interdisciplinary, world-class research, innovation and knowledge exchange in healthcare engineering and digital health. We bring together leading researchers across UCL and our partner hospitals to develop the next generation of digital and medical technologies. The IHE is a cross-Faculty UCL Institute led from the Faculty of Engineering Sciences.

We have excellent links with our clinical partners in primary and secondary care, for example through the UCL-affiliated Biomedical Research Centres at UCLH, Moorfields and Great Ormond Street Hospital. They should have a proven track record in working with relevant stakeholders at all levels, from a range of sectors (for example clinicians, industry, funding bodies, learned societies, government, regulators, and other academic and clinical institutions) academia, healthcare, industry and funders), and spanning internal (UCL), national and international.

The role holder should have an excellent track record of working in multidisciplinary, cross-sector teams, as well as building a culture of collaboration. The role-holder will have a leadership role within the IHE including both strategy development and its delivery, working collaboratively across the IHE Management Board and Delivery Groups. They will have responsibility for establishing (and delivering on) new stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, to enable delivery of the IHE strategy for 2030.
