One that delivers the expertise they need in a way that goes beyond. Personal, proactive, and agile. That's Grant Thornton.
Job Description:
The demand for payroll solutions is rising rapidly but must navigate unprecedented shifting work patterns, global mobility, and an increasingly complex employment tax and benefits landscape.
Our clients need to be confident that we are getting this right. Our payroll solutions need to be effective, accurate, and compliant with a range of regulation – from HMRC legislation to pension auto-enrolment and GDPR requirements.
We have true global scale, deep technical capabilities and extensive industry expertise, but what makes us different is how we work with our clients. We pride ourselves in adopting a relationship-led approach, are big enough to take on the most complex and specialist work, but small enough to be flexible, agile and responsive.
A look into the role

As a Payroll Change Manager within our Employer Solutions team, you will:
  • Lead on this exciting agenda of change for the client payroll team.
  • Develop a robust change management user acceptance strategy.
  • Analyse current timescales for the delivery of client payrolls and design process efficiencies.
  • Explore the range of technology solutions available to us through Grant Thornton and external software providers and lead on creating solutions for automation and simplification.
  • Proactively review a small portfolio of payroll work before it is sent to clients.
  • Perform quality reviews on payrolls prepared by Payroll colleagues and maintain team KPI records.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills ensuring all risks are considered and addressed.
Initially, the primary focus will be on progressing automation solutions, with our internal IS team and creation of a revised data capture template to ensure all data is received in a manageable format.

Joining us as a Payroll Change Manager the minimum criteria you’ll need:
  • Experience of working in a busy payroll environment.
