The Vacancy
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join the team, to input payroll for both the Wates and SES weekly and monthly payrolls totalling circa 3000 employees on a Fixed term basis for circa six months.
Based out of our Head Office in Leatherhead, you will be processing both monthly and weekly input to a high standard, ensuring that both payrolls meet their deadlines. Inputting and processing weekly timesheets for circa 250 operatives. Inputting and processing monthly payroll for circa 2800, including various elements, car calculations, data loading.
You will also be tasked with managing along with the team payroll inbox and ensuring all emails are replied to in a timely manner and to the agreed SLAs and dealing with benefit queries between the employees and benefit providers.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Understanding of Payroll rules and regulations
- Experience of processing weekly and monthly payrolls
- Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
- Ability to do manual and statutory calculation payments
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Team player
The successful candidate will have experience of:
- Operating a variety of payroll elements i.e., salary, overtime, flexible benefits, salary sacrifice
- Manual calculations of net pay, grossing up
- Checking payroll, net to net checks
- Liaising with Third parties and internal customers
- Testing of system upgrades
- Set up and manipulating spreadsheets
- Payroll reconciliation
- Payroll processes and procedures
- Deal with all aspects of HMRC requirements
- Dealing with pension contributions and auto enrolment
- Communicate confidently and effectively at all levels in both written and verbal communication
