Payment Gateway Analyst
Northampton
Basic salary: £24,200 + 25% shift allowance = Total package £30,250
This is a Hybrid role, which means that you will be working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home.
Shift Pattern – Working a 24/7 rotating shift pattern, including weekends and nights. You will be expected to cover all shifts. Shift patterns will be provided 1 week in advance, and you will receive a full recovery week every 5th week.
As a Payment Gateway Analyst you will be the first point of contact for our customer reporting queries and incidents, you will be expected to use your working knowledge of Barclaycard tools, Microsoft office and Gateway admin servicing portals to diagnose and resolve technical and financial queries, working in close collaboration with other internal teams. You’ll need to have a customer-centric mind-set with excellent communication & administrative skills, whilst having a flare for technical analysis and in-depth problem solving. Candidates will also need to be comfortable with working under pressure whilst effectively managing & prioritizing several tasks.

• Dealing with client queries and incidents via email and phone Leading & motivating the Team through coaching, training and succession planning to enable the highest levels of performance
- You will be part of a team supporting the Barclaycard Payment Gateways servicing through using a variety of systems/tools to investigate errors and identify fixes
- Using Gateway admin servicing portals to diagnose and resolve technical and financial queries
- Supporting the Barclaycard Payment Gateways
- Attending technical conference calls with clients and suppliers to troubleshoot faults.
- Working with internal parts of Barclaycard including senior stakeholders, Technical Relationship Management, Product Owners, Project Management and Professional Services (implementation team).
• Experience of conducting in-depth technical analysis and troubleshooting within a technical environment using different tools and software
- Result and delivery focused with the ability to work under pressure and produce high quality work in time-sensitive scenarios and in line with business governance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including negotiation, influencing and presenting to a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding of Ecommerce transaction flows and payment mandates such as Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is desirable but not essential
• Proven ability to handle multiple and concurrent tasks and issues
- Good knowledge and understanding of the UK card processing industry would be desirable
- Composure when dealing with challenging client service demands
- Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal with a professional telephone manner
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office
Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
