We are looking for a Patient Support Team Advisor to join our dynamic and evolving team.
You will be working as part of a highly motivated team to provide patients with excellent care. We have adapted during the pandemic to ensure patients receive the right care, and that we give the patient a choice. Your role will support patients in accessing our service via telephone, online and face to face.
The role on offer is versatile, broad and expanding. You will be the first point of contact for patients, as well as participating in administrative duties to support patients care pathways.
The Patient Support Team Advisor role is supported by Patient Support Team Manager and Patient Support Team Supervisor. Within the Practice there are many opportunities to develop your skillset. We have multiple teams including Prescriptions, Secretaries, Medical PA’s, Clinical Coders.
As a Patient Support Team Advisor you will be approachable, enthusiastic, motivated and work well within a team. You will need to be understanding of patients’ needs and be able to show empathy, and remain aware of patient confidentiality.
Your main duty will be answering incoming calls as well as welcoming patients into the surgery in a professional and timely manner, allowing patients to access the help they are asking for whilst managing timeframes and incoming tasks.
Training is provided to ensure patients are being signposted to the correct service. Your role will be triaging patients to departments and services or booking them appointments with the appropriate clinician. Your role encompasses the skills that the Practice needs to provide exceptional patient care.
Within your role you will be ensuring patients are followed up with important care and information. You will process requests from the Clinicians within a time frame to ensure the patient is seen or informed.
As a practice we care for each patient, we hold their Medical Records and we handle high amounts of clinical correspondence. You will be required to handle and process documents within timeframes to ensure their record is accurate and incoming requests from service providers such as hospitals are actioned efficiently.
Please do not apply if you are unable to work from 8:00. For part-time we offer 08:00 - 12:30 or alternative shift pattern of 13.30 to a 18:30 finish. Or full day shift pattern listed below with a reduced number of days.
