Job description

Under the supervision of the RN or LPN, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs various duties to support the treatment and care of patients according to established methods and procedures. The PCT takes and records vital signs, assists with personal hygiene, changes bed linens, and completes other tasks as assigned to promote the basic comfort and personal care of the patient.

High School diploma or GED is required. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential or previous completion of a Patient Care Technician program preferred. Must possess American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
