We are searching for a Pastoral Support Assistant to provide pastoral support to students, staff, teachers, families, agencies and mentors. In this role, you will provide support to both students and staff, with a focus on ensuring the wellbeing and success of our students. You will be responsible for managing drop-in sessions for distressed students, liaising with Learning Support Hub, and overseeing our young carers support and peer mentoring programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. Maltings is a 11-16 academy based in Witham, Essex. Situated between the city of Chelmsford and Colchetser, the academy has 900 students on roll and benefits from a purpose-built building that was constructed in 2011. There are excellent transport links to London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. Free car parking facilities are available on site.
