Passenger transport at Hull City Council is increasing it's pool of casual Passenger Assistants to work on school transport within the city and surrounding area. This rewarding role involves accompanying children with a range of Special Educational Needs & disabilities to and from schools and educational facilities.

As a Passenger Assistant you will be responsible for the care and supervision of pupils whilst they are travelling to and from schools within Hull and the surrounding area at the beginning and end of the school day. Working closely with your driver, you will be liaising between parents and schools to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in your care whilst on route to & from school.

The role is term time based on a casual basis. An enhanced DBS and 2 x references will be required as part of the application process

A caring and responsible attitude towards children is essential as is a willingness to undertake training. You must have good communication skills and a flexible approach. A basic knowledge of first aid would be helpful.

Any previous experience is advantageous, but not necessary.
