Passenger Assistant - Warwick
About The Role
Transport Operations secures all home to school transport provision for students with special educational needs as well as adult transport to day care services.
We are looking for a Passenger Assistant to join us based at our depot in Warwick working on a specially adapted vehicle. This position is offered on a term time only basis.
Working within a team, you can expect to be working on a split shift system with a morning shift possibly starting at around 7 am then returning for an afternoon shift from about 2.30 pm each day. Effectively you will take passengers to a school or day centre in the morning and then returning them home in the afternoon. Please note that there will be a gap in the middle of the day.
You will be responsible for transporting adults and children to day care, respite placements and schools in Warwickshire which will include helping passengers (some of whom may have physical disabilities and some with learning disabilities) on and off the bus, ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation, maintaining the vehicle records as well ensuring the bus is clean and tidy after each use. A full package of training will be provided to support you in the role should you be successful.
