Then this is the opportunity for you. Arriva Rail London are looking for an experienced railway professional who is looking for a career in control, where you will be responsible for arranging assistance for customers who need that extra little bit of help.
To manage the end to end assisted travel process for customers who require it, dealing with assistance requests in a timely manner, ensuring that all communication is prompt and accurate so that the customer has a smooth journey.
To ensure that all planned journeys are logistically possible, informing destination stations of the impending arrival of aided customers.
Working closely with the ARL Strategic Command, ensuring that the information screens across the East London Line Core Route are displaying accurate information at all times.
Monitorisation of CCTV observing any overcrowding, advising Strategic Command if platforms are getting too busy.
To alert Resource Control and Fault Reporting Centre of any faults that you become aware of.
To make, schedule and report public address announcements as required.
Strong communication skills, fluent in English and proven ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have a background within the railway industry, ideally with some knowledge of ARL geography but not essential.
