Your New Role
The UK business is going through a major transformation, pivoting from being almost 100%
linear to being digital first, and our Sales team needs to reflect that. As a complement to our 3rd
party sales reps we are building an innovative, passionate and industry respected in-house Ad
Sales team.
The mission for the Partnerships team at Warner Bros. Discovery is to maximise the revenue we deliver to the business by monetising every consumer interaction with our brands and content across all touchpoints. From linear TV, Discovery+ and across web and social. Our unique content strategy of super-serving passionate superfans of documentaries, reality, sport, home and food alongside entertainment pillars across reality, kids and films enables us to do this by helping brands to build meaningful interactions with highly engaged audiences.
Within this dynamic and fast-growing team, Brand Partnerships delivers multi-platform creative solutions working with media agencies, clients and our third-party ad sales partners Sky Media, Channel 4 Sales and Mean Broadcast. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships as well as delivering on our deals and maximising growth both externally and internally is at the very heart of everything we do.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Alongside the Senior Manager and Manager, be responsible for deal delivery and management across all closed deals across linear, digital, web and social.
Delivery and Management elements include ensuring all deals are meeting their target parameters and updating worksheets for tracking of delivery. -
Support the Manager with inventory management across the entire WBD portfolio, identifying each channel’s availability and communicating this to the wider teams, including working with the Account Manager to ensure the worksheets are updated bi-weekly.
This includes ensuring we are identifying correct inventory status with Digital Ad-Ops for existing deals but also communicating these to the Sales teams for brief responses. - Responsible for coordinating information to and being the lead for the Commercial Operations team and all deal set up and maintenance within the BTS system.
- Work closely with and support the Sales & Strategy Team and Digital Teams alongside the Senior Manager and Manager to deliver highly professional results and advise on continuing sales strategy and opportunities for all media agencies and clients.
- Supporting with the response on active and proactive briefs with the Sales team
- Ownership of maintaining the Partnerships Availability grid ensuring all information is up to date and accurate on a weekly basis
- Supporting the Manager with maintaining the Partnerships Status Report including the update of every deal, content and Clash grids and communicating these weekly with the Sales & Strategy teams and wider business where required.
- Ownership of programming and scheduling updates which requires a good relationship with the Scheduling teams and coordinating and attending regular meetings and exchanging of information which can then be shared within the wider team
- Responsible for creation of sales collateral including flyers and programming decks alongside and responsibility for ensuring these are regularly updated and all information is accurately sourced and communicated.
- Lead on use of TGI research tool to support sales collateral and support brief responses working closely with the Commercial Insights Manager across TGI.
- Keep up to date on market activity and competitor analysis
Skills and Qualifications
- Likely to have at least 2 years experience in Media or broadcast: in Media Agencies, Client-side or media owner
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects & deliverables
- Able to establish and maintain influential relationships, especially with Media Agencies
- Is confident enough to deal with people of all levels, from assistant to MD
- Demonstrates a good understanding of client’s business needs
- Demonstrates good consumer understanding and insights
