About the Role:
The Partnership Manager will be responsible for the onboarding, management of insurance partners, TPA and vendor relationships in support of the European and North American insurance business. This person will coordinate various cross-regional network programs with internal functions as well external parties and see-through end to end that all business processes are thoroughly reviewed and implemented. This role will also have a portfolio of partners to manage directly. In order to accomplish this, the individual in this role will need to develop relationships with core functional partners, be deeply organised, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
Primary Responsibilities of the Partnership Manager:
- Lead and be responsible for the onboarding of network partners and vendors and the ongoing management of assigned partners
- Partner with cross-functional teams (including but not limited to: product, quality, sales, client management, underwriting, claims operations, account implementation, finance, IT, marketing, communication) to project manage, ask critical questions, and provide decision-making framework to complete vendor onboarding in agreed upon timeframe
- Perform as a functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders
- Strategically develop and streamline vendor processes in coordination with internal functions
- Responsible for the integrity and completeness of data and reporting exchanges between internal stakeholders and vendors
- Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present root-cause and solutions
- Develop reports and materials to support executive meetings
- Continuously improve partner onboarding framework and processes, including handoffs between departments in partnerships with network colleagues and internal constituents
- Oversee post-onboarding vendor activities and contractual agreements to ensure IT, data privacy, and Service Level Agreement compliance are up to date and adhered
- Support marketing on communications of new vendor partnerships and changes to existing ones
- Gather and provide competitive intelligence regarding insurance competitors vendor partnership development and changes
- Educate and help to train internal teams on material changes relating to vendor processes impacting UHCG’s clients and members, as well as educate vendors on changes to UHCG processes that impact vendors
- Review with finance on vendor fee/invoice accuracy and provide visibility on trends and outlook

Required Qualifications of the Partnership Manager:
- Significant experience within healthcare sector, global experience required
- Significant experience in international provider network management, international private medical insurance(IPMI), third party administrator (TPA) and/or international assistance industry
- Successful track record with partner or vendor management
- Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver operational solutions
- Demonstrable analytical skills to aggregate and synthesize data and information, turning it into relevant reports with recommendations or actions
- Good understanding of working within a matrix working environment
- Excellent understanding of enterprise procurement and sourcing process and guidelines
