Job description
As a Partner Growth Analyst, you will play a leading role in understanding the needs of our partners and driving or supporting key initiatives that enhance the value that we create for partners. Operating across all markets and types of restaurant partners, you will work with our Insights teams and third parties to understand the varying needs of our partners and how this varies by partner type and market. You will act as an important source of insight for other functions in our business seeking to understand our partners. Furthermore, you will be assigned projects that support our Partner Growth Managers as they build subject matter expertises on key partner growth topics such as Menu Design, Food Pricing & Promotions and Optimising Kitchen Operations.
Reporting to the Director, Restaurant Value Proposition, you will be part of a wider team of subject matter experts that are responsible for defining where and how we deliver a market-leading, differentiated proposition to different segments of restaurant partners based on a deep understanding of their needs. You will ideally have minimum 2-3 years experience in professional services (strategy consulting / banking) and 1+ year at a corporate in a strategy role.
What you'll be responsible for
- Building an extensive knowledge base of partner needs, how well Deliveroo meets these needs and where the primary opportunity areas are for Deliveroo to improve
- Collaborate with our Insights in the creation and analysis of the Global Restaurant Survey
- Lead specific research deep-dives on specific partner needs, using different research techniques such as partner surveys, focus groups and third party research
- Develop methods to disseminate the key insights to other functions that will make use of the research findings
- Facilitate other functions who are seeking to understand our partners more closely
- Defining and managing our partner segmentation
- Collaborate with local commercial leaders to define the various dimensions on which we should segment our partner base based on local use cases
- Collaborate with Data Science to develop a simple framework for assessing partner "potential" as a key factor of how we allocate resource to support partners
- Leading or supporting key Partner Growth projects
- Scoping the project: analysing performance data, conducting restaurant research and collating frontline feedback to identify and prioritise the problem statements to solve. Defining the project timeline and resources required to solve them.
- Defining the solution space: conducting critical analyses and leading brainstorming exercises with key stakeholders to help identify the potential range of options we have.
- Making business recommendations: Evaluating each option to identify the preferred route forward. Building the business case and securing stakeholder support for your recommendations
- Supporting our Product Team (where technology solutions are required): contribute to requirement definitions, lead on User Acceptance Testing
- Supporting Product and Consumer organisations on projects that impact relevant Partner Growth levers
- Provide subject matter expertise when defining requirements for product features / services that will impact Partner Growth (e.g. Fleet Switching / Menu 2.0 / Ads & Offers design)
- Support UAT as appropriate
- Contribute to GTM launches, particularly in providing specialist input to support the GTM Content team to prepare partner and commercial-facing launch materials
Key Competencies

Is able to anticipate risks and suggest ways to mitigate.This experience will ideally be gained within the analytics / strategy team at a corporate or professional services organisation (consultancy / investment bank)
- Data analytics: experience in designing primary and secondary research and extracting insight from large data sets using basic analytical and programming techniques
- Project Management: ability to manage and progress a multiple, complex projects in parallel that involve multiple stakeholders across markets and other Deliveroo functions
- Communication & Influence: Listens actively and empathetically. Simplifies complex ideas and focuses communication. Collaborates effectively across wider range of teams and stakeholder groups. Demonstrates a confident presentation style.
- Team Development and Community-Building: A team player who readily collaborates cross-functionally and can resolve areas of misalignment or conflict between teams. Finds opportunities to build a sense of community and coach more junior team members.
