Job description
Norman E Webb Ltd is a well established haulage company in Chippenham and we are seeking a Part-Time Experienced Multi-drop Van Driver with work around London.
Driver responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the vehicle safe and clean
- Using navigation apps to determine the best route
Job brief
We are looking for a Driver to transport loads in a safe and timely manner.
This will be 24 hours per week Monday - Wednesday, but a degree of flexibility is required and overtime is frequently available.
To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you don’t need to have a van; we provide drivers with our own vehicles and insurance.
Responsibilities
- Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed, all the while taking into account clean air zones and tolls.
- Deliver loads to predetermined destinations and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to driver working hour regulations.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a Driver
- A valid driver’s licence
- A clean driving record
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Flexibility on working days
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
Hours - 24 hours per week across 3 days
Pay - £10.50 per hour
