Job description
Polished nails and cocktails puts a new twist on the salon experience with the added feature of a cocktail bar. We provide bespoke treatments to the local and surrounding community of Esher. We pride ourselves on delivering luxury treatments with vegan nail brands, having an instagrammable bar with trendy cocktails and creating a lovely environment for both our lovely clients and staff!
We are currently in search of an ambitious and innovative salon manager, with salon background experience. The ideal candidate will strive to lead the salon to great success, be a great role model to a fantastic team and oversee all salon operations. We are currently searching for a part time manager, covering at least four days a week, however are open to discussing working days with the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Work alongside salon owners to lead the salon staff in providing excellent services and maximizing salon profit
- Manage day-to-day operations of the salon including opening and closing procedures, staff behavior and customer intake procedures
- Interview, hire and train salon staff in procedure, policy and health regulations
- Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage for the salon's needs
- Resolve customer complaints and provide solutions to staff disputes
- Account for and report profits and expenses of the salon
- Prepare and maintain sales, inventory and customer reports
- Manage inventory salon products by maintaining records of stock quantities on hand and ordering replacement items
We require the candidate to:
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Extensive experience providing salon services to clients including manicures, pedicures, builder gel, gel extensions, beauty treatments
- Advanced organizational skills to manage staff, operations and salon finances
- General bookkeeping and business finance skills
- Excellent communication and team-leading skills
- Detailed knowledge of the beauty industry and customer needs
- Interest and ability to continue learning about market standards and changes in trends
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time and move quickly to accomplish many tasks
