JOB DESCRIPTION:
To be a key part in the launch of an existing Vape store and ensure excellent customer service, store standards, store operating procedures and in-store sales.
hours etc would be discussed during the interview process due to owner/management coordinating hours with other staff in-store. may also need for cover work in this store and other stores when needed etc for example staff being off sick/ booked off holidays etc. training will be provided in stores.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Have and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the vape industry and market including current trends.
- In-store promotion of new and existing products including customer demonstrations and tastings.
- The ability to confidently and professionally deal with customer complaints and returns, where identifying a problem and providing a fix is the win-win solution for the store and customer is ideal.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to understand service requirements.
- Work with marketing to implement and deliver local marketing plans and campaigns to ensure maximum impact in the local area.
- Ensure exceptional store standards at all times and that the stock room and any back-office areas/ staff facilities are well maintained, clean and tidy.
- Follow policies and procedures to ensure age-restricted products are lawfully sold.
- Ensure the health and safety of yourself, your team and customers through complying with all company policies and pro-actively identifying any risks and taking steps to address them.
- Implement and comply with all necessary company policies and procedures. Conduct regular store training sessions to continue to educate and develop store teams to deliver exceptional customer service and advice.
- Promote store events, inviting potential customers to in-store demonstration/training and tasting sessions.
- Have in place effective cash management procedures to ensure secure cash handling and accurate reconciliation of monies.
- To comply with all company policies and procedures
- Any other duties as appropriate.
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS ESSENTIAL:
- Expert Knowledge of Vape products including but not limited to devices (pre-built & Build your own) and liquids
- Considerable previous Vape Shop experience
- Considerable retail experience
- Considerable visual merchandising and Point of Sale (POS) implementation experience.
TECHNICAL/ BEHAVIOURAL/ PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:
Exceptional technical understanding of advanced vape devices, How to use and maintain them safely and how to demonstrate them to customers.
Exceptional communications skills with the ability to identify and adapt communication methods and styles to the varying skill levels of customers and store teams.
Driven with the ability to work on own initiative to ensure the success of the store.
Tenacious attitude to hitting and exceeding sales targets.
A keen eye for detail in creating and maintaining an open and welcoming store environment that is always well maintained.

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT & CONTEXT:
The successful applicant will be instrumental in building awareness of the new Vape concept in the local area and ensuring the ongoing success of the store in terms of customer advocacy staff development and commercial success, in challenging and feeding back to the business operational improvements, enhancements to range, key marketing activities and their impact.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
