We are looking for MHE drivers with the opportunity to work flexibly on an Annualised Hours contract. The role will be based at our Grange Park site.
What is an Annualised Contract and how does it work?
As an employee on Annualised hours Contract, you can independently decide how many shifts you can do weekly. You will be treated as permanent staff and will have access to our benefits if you commit to the hours set in your contract.
Don’t worry, we will work around you, if you say you can do 16 or 32 hours per week, we can offer you a contract with your preferred working hours and in return, we will expect you to work and adhere to those hours (If for any reason you are not able to do your required hours in a particular week, you can do more hours the following week or within that month).
Anyone who is looking for over 32 hours a week could be considered for a full-time contract.
How can I book shifts?
We will send shifts directly via JoinedUp system, this will include the location, shift pattern and who to report to. All you must do is simply book the shifts that suit you and turn up. Please note, shifts are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Role of an MHE Driver
- Safely load and unload products onto trailers, ensuring all company procedures are adhered to.
- Receiving, picking, put away, replenishment and dispatch.
- Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to ensure that damage to kept to a minimum and manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury and harm.
- As necessary, complete relevant paperwork to confirm loading and unloading activities have been carried out for audit purposes.
- Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse.
- Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, taking due consideration of company values.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, raising any defects to your line manager
Required skills
- MHE licence – Reach, VNA or Counterbalance with Clamp
- Good communication skills
- Literate and numerate
- Previous warehouse experience is an advantage.
- Awareness of manual handling techniques is an advantage
- Flexibility to work shifts where required
- Ability to work as part of a team.
