Part Time Mental Health Support Worker

The Park is a 12-bed step through rehabilitative facility set in beautiful rural countryside not far from Thornbury. We house adult males aged 18-65 with a mental health illness. The service's core philosophy is the promotion of independence, health and social recovery through bespoke rehabilitation and care/support planning for these adults
As a Mental Health Support Worker at The Park, you will be working as part of an innovative, friendly and compassionate team. You will be responsible for enabling people with various and sometimes very complex support needs to progress towards recovery, wellbeing and independence through the utilisation of creative, flexible, and outcome-driven support, planning and delivery techniques.
Hours: 12 hour shifts, consisting of days and nights on a rolling rota
On a typical day you will be:
· Enabling service users to access and participate in our in-house activities and their local community, including access to education and employment opportunities
· Creating positive relationships with Service Users and engaging in their journey to recovery
· Promote and support positive relationships with other service users, professionals, family members and the wider community
· Providing medication administration and work with clinical staff to support service users achieve self-medication and independence in this area
· Attending meetings with or on behalf of service users
· Developing and maintaining an understanding of mental health sections and any associated conditions of community discharge
