As Hot Food / Deli Counter Assistant you will work as part of the deli team to prepare high quality hot and cold deli products in our Coleraine store.
We have flexible opportunities for staff to work 15 - 20 hours per week. (Monday to Sunday) . Hours are 7am to 2.30/3pm. We can discuss rota options with applicants. We would also welcome students who are available to work at the weekends. Applicants must be 16 years or over.
Your duties will include:
· Assisting in preparing and cooking nutritious, interesting and fresh food.
· Ensure food counter presentation complies with company policy
· Comply with company food safety policies and legislation.
· Comply with HACCP procedures.
· Complete production, wastage, temperature and cleaning records
· Assist in placing food orders and manage effective stock movement.
· Maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times adhering to the Company’s daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule.
· Greet and serve customers, advise of available offerings and maintain the standards of the deli counters
· Assist in preparing the counter to serve customer in a fast paced environment.
· Wrap/package goods for the customer , ensuring the appropriate price is attached for payment at the till area.
· Cleaning duties following our Clean As You Go procedure and daily/weekly store cleaning plan
We would like you to have:
- Previous experience in deli/food service (preferred but not essential)
- Good team working skills
- Excellent customers service skills
- An interest in cooking or relevant cooking experience
- High standard of cleanliness
- Health and Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
