Full time Permanent - 37 hours per week including weekends and bank holidays (7 day rota)
Salary up to £31,554 + 12% Annualised Hours Premium + Standby + Overtime = Excellent Benefits

About the role
We’ve a great opportunity to join our team at Kielder Waterside as our Maintenance Technician for the Dam & Hydro.
Working as part of a team you will be required to monitor and operate the Kielder Dam and Hydro plant and deliver leisure services at Kielder. We’re looking for you to be promoting and delivering our commercial activities, parks maintenance and the day to day operating and maintenance of Kielder Dam and Hydro plant, to ensure they are operating within an agreed set of standards.
We’re looking for you to work on a standby rota to support Dam & Hydro operations, along with providing day to day maintenance of Kielder Hydro and Dam. You’ll also be establishing positive working relationship with internal and external key stakeholders.
You’ll be supporting with the management and maintenance of the leisure services on reservoirs, ensuring regular inspections of assets and the safety of visiting members of the public. We’re looking for you to be a part of the Kielder Leisure team too, so we’re looking for you to provide a high level of Customer Service, enforce NWL fishing rules and regulations.
We’re looking for you to be part of the standby rota to support Dam & Hydro operations.

This role has been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test. About you
We’re looking for you to have Full and valid UK driving licence and to be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a building trade discipline e.g. joinery, plumbing or building maintenance, along with good practical skills covering maintenance and repairs issues.
You’ll have proven experience of working within a customer focused environment is essential as you will be dealing with our guests on a regular basis. Ideally you will have experience of working in a hospitality or visitor services environment and have proven practical skills that cover all aspects of maintenance work and repairs.
