Job description
Priority Express is a leading, independent courier company offering a full range of same day, overnight & international delivery services.
We are also members of the award-winning APC Overnight delivery network, with 115 depots across the United Kingdom. Due to continued expansion, we currently have an excellent opportunity for a Depot Manager, to lead operations at our expanding Bristol depot.
You will be a strong individual who will effectively direct, manage and control all aspects of the depot operation to ensure revenue, profit and service levels are met or exceeded.
The Role
- Ensure service standards meet or exceed the company targets
- Maintain the most efficient and cost effective utilisation of resources
- Recruit, train & develop a results orientated depot team
- Maintain the relevant health & safety regulations
- Monitor the on-going performance of the depots
- Identify areas for improvement and agree appropriate action plans
- Review depot performance against budget with management team
- Ensure our company policy and strategy is communicated at all levels.
Candidate Requirements
- The ability to achieve the highest standards possible
- Committed to continuous improvement
- Relevant management experience in the parcels industry
- A process and systems driven outlook with strong administration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Computer literate with a strong understanding of IT & mobile data.
