About the role….

The Council is seeking a paralegal whose knowledge, skills and experience will help its legal team provide high quality and effective legal advice to the Council and its partners. The role sits within the Council’s Legal and Democratic Services which provide legal advice and support across the Council’s services.

You will support the team with focus around housing disrepair litigation. As your experience builds you will manage your own caseload under supervision.

You should be educated to degree level or have achieved CILEX Level 3, or equivalent, and have knowledge of legal practice and procedure. Applicants should have a genuine enthusiasm for this area of law and be invested in their own personal development.

You must be proficient in using Microsoft Office, have strong organisational skills and be able to prioritise your work to ensure timescales are met. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and have experience of drafting professional correspondence and documents.

The role is for 24 months on a fixed term contract.
