Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 Per Annum (DOE+ excellent benefits package + training)
We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the North of England's leading independent, commercial law firms. This firm is renowned for its culture and has been named in the Top 100 UK Companies to work for the last 4 years as well as many awards for its client work.
This role sits within the firm's Corporate team which works for clients nationally and is recognised as a leader in the field for specialist corporate services to the healthcare sector.
What we are looking for:-
- Paralegal with some corporate experience
- Excellent attention to detail and both written and spoken communication skills. Must be able to communicate confidently and effectively to clients, team members and other stakeholders
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Organised with a flexible approach to working - corporate isn't always 9-5!
- Keen to learn all aspects of the role including getting involved with business development initiatives
Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilising and developing processes to streamline transactions in a cost-efficient manner. This work will include using and developing precedents.
- Preparation, agreement and finalisation of documents specific to the transaction using those work streams and documents as well as developing new work streams.
- Company secretarial including company formations, filings at Companies House and the FCA, preparation and upkeep of company registers.
- Transactional support work including the preparation, agreement and finalisation of ancillary documents, legal due diligence and pre-completion searches.
- Preparation of correspondence and legal documentation maintaining a high level of accuracy dependently for approval by the qualified fee earner.
- Ensuring that file structures are strictly maintained.
- Producing legal bundles, document organisation, indexing and assembly of files for checking with guidance by fee earner.
- Assist with the preparation of marketing materials, and Business Development initiatives.
- Maintaining client relationships and providing regular legal and file updates to clients and brokers.
