We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Paralegal to join our EMEA Clearance & Collateral Management team. This role is located in Manchester, UK.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Providing a mix of legal and administrative support to the legal team
- Assisting with the drafting and review of legal documentation relating to various products and services
- Assisting with regulatory change implementation projects
- Management of template database, including periodic updates
- Attending meetings, and liaising with business and other stakeholders
- Researching key legal topics, and managing the team knowhow library
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- A relevant paralegal or legal qualification / degree, or equivalent experience
- Attention to detail, able to deal with large amounts of text / information
- Strong technical skills; competence with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Document management skills: experience in setting up and/or managing databases / document management systems
- Good time management and organisation skills: proactive; ability to: multi-task, effectively prioritise tasks, set clear and realistic deadlines for others, manage expectations
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with staff of differing levels of seniority
- Willingness to learn and ask questions to confirm proper understanding
- Positive attitude, team player and flexible approach
- (Ideally) Previous experience in a financial services or commercial environment
