An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal/Aviation Lease Contracts Executive to join our Aether joint-venture team.
This is an important role mitigating commercial risk in a new asset management business.
About Aether
Aether manages assets on behalf of third-party owners, enabling the efficient lease and return of civil aircraft engines to airlines around the world.
You will be part of a new dynamic team, whose primary objectives are to deliver services within agreed timeframes, improve the turn-around-time between leases, maintain the asset value of engines under management and minimise risk for all asset owners.
The size and structure of the organization means that you will work alongside and communicate with senior management daily. The core team is largely based in Derby with supporting functions based in London.

What you will be doing:
- Accountable for accuracy and completeness of legal and commercial documents to support lease delivery / redelivery.
- Responsible for drafting specific lease/commercial documents needed to support delivery / redelivery.
- Accountable for negotiating escalated commercial issues (new contracts, CPs and claims), from customers and vendors.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of commercial templates, tools and guides as needed to support delivery and redelivery.
- Responsible for ensuring all post-closing contractual actions such as filings are completed or otherwise implemented by team.
- Accountable for the identification and guidance of commercial risks and liabilities.
- Responsible for ensuring all KYP and other compliance checks are completed, maintain the operator watch list including coordinating with Group portfolio & partner management team, accounts payable and finance on customer credit checks.
- Responsible for identifying operational issues and facilitating the resolution of the same whilst maintaining appropriate levels of customer satisfaction.

- Experience of drafting, negotiating, and administering aircraft engine or other aviation asset leases.
- Degree or equivalent qualification ideally in Law or a related subject.
- Well-developed interpersonal, diplomacy, communication, influencing and negotiations skills.
- Ability to solve multi-layered problems while maintaining customer focus.
- Highly motivated and capable of working under own initiative or in a team environment.
- Sound business acumen.
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet demanding deadlines.
- Experience of influencing at all levels across an organisation.
