Role: Paralegal
Location: Uxbridge, West London (Hybrid)
Salary: £45,000
Advocate Group are proud to be partnered with a market-leading beverage brand who have an international presence and a continuously expanding product portfolio loved by millions globally. The business have been experiencing astronomical growth averaging 20% YoY with no signs of slowing down!
We are looking to hire a Paralegal to support a fast paced commercial team for this in-house legal function.
Core responsibilities:
- Work closely with the EMEA legal supply chain, corporate and commercial team.
- Create, update, and maintain precedent form contracts and other commercial agreements.
- Assist in the preparation and drafting of various legal agreements, which may involve reviewing and editing documents drafted by solicitors and other members of the EMEA legal team.
- Assist with conducting due diligence investigations on various third party stakeholders, which involves operating our electronic due diligence platform and managing the online process with the third party stakeholders and external counsel.
- Assist with contract management tasks, including reviewing, negotiating and amending commercial contracts. This may involve completing approval forms, identifying key terms and conditions, tracking deadlines, arranging electronic signatures and maintaining contract databases.
- Liaising with the business, including responding to queries, providing updates on the progress of various maters and maintaining professional and effective communication.
- Providing general administrative support. This can include organising and maintaining files and scheduling meetings.
- Maintain and updating legal databases, precedents, and knowledge management systems.
- Provide support on any other special projects as requested to support the business objectives.
The successful candidate:
- Strong academic record, ideally with completion of an LLB and LPC.
- Previous paralegal experience in a commercial context (either in-house or private practice).
- Collaborative working style.
- Shows high energy and results focused.
- Demonstrates personal responsibility for their performance and high curiosity about the business.
- Proactive, driven, passionate, effective and resourceful.
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.
- Positive can-do attitude and comfortable taking initiative.
- Embrace teamwork and working closely on a day to day basis with other members of the businesses tight-knit and non-hierarchal Legal team.
- Experience working in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Willing to wear many hats and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
