Job description
We’re looking for two Paralegals to join our Legal Services Team.
You’ll be a law graduate (or equivalent e.g. the Graduate Diploma in Law) with a working knowledge of either contracts or data privacy. You’ll be self-motivated and proactive with the ability to analyse complex information but explain it in an understandable way. You’ll have excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office.
Role Purpose
The Legal Services Team provides advice across a wide variety of legal issues affecting Sport England including its commercial and property interests, commecial campaigns (you'll have heard of This Girl Can), administrative law, compliance and risk. You will provide support to all members of the team, and you'll therefore have a willingness to get involved in tasks outside of your core responsibilities in order to develop and learn.
Day to day you’ll work with the Legal, Procurement, Data Privacy, Compliance and Information Governance teams (who make up the Legal Services Team), so your daily work will be varied. Whilst this role reports to the Senior In-House Solicitor and DPO, you will be working as part of a team, so it is important to be a team player. You’ll have good communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation.
In return we can offer you a competetive salary, excellent benefits and a fantastic work/life balance, whilst doing interesting work in an inspiring sector. We can't wait to hear from you!
Sport England recognises the positive value of diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds, particularly where we are under-represented, currently, this includes disabled people and those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups.
