Job description
We’re recruiting three Paralegal roles in our Legal Team, two fixed term contracts and one permanent position.
Holding a legal qualification or with relevant experience, each Paralegal will assist two Solicitors with the preparation and management of Public Law children’s cases.
Each role is site based in our city centre offices but there may be opportunities to work from home up to two days per week.
Role Responsibilities- Assist the Principal and Lawyers in a wide range of matters relevant to particular area(s) of work.
- Undertake legal research.
- Liaise with client departments within the Council and with third parties.
- Prepare legal documents with guidance.
- Prepare and update Court bundles electronically.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings
- A legal qualification and/or prior relevant experience desirable.
- A positive 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to proactively maintain client and external stakeholder relationships.
- Willingness to undertake training as necessary.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Ability to work within a pressurised environment.
