Job description
1. CASEWORK SUPPORT
Definition:
Providing casework support to immigration solicitors.
Activities:
Taking instructions from clients.
Communicating with the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal
Communicating with the Home Office
Visiting clients in detention.
Communicating with barristers’ chambers.
Making telephone calls
Speaking to new clients
Writing attendance notes
Maintaining an efficient diary system - ensuring all appointments are diarised
Adhering to deadlines set by the Home Office and the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal and ensuring these are diarised.
Observing General Data Protection Regulations
File management and ensuring Client Care procedures are followed
Drafting documents including application forms and Witness Statements, where necessary.
Required Standard:
Accurately discharge delegated work in accordance with Director’s requirements.
2. ADMINISTRATION
Definition:
Assisting in the good administration of the department
Activities:
Assisting in maintenance of computerised databases
Photocopying and filing
Organising scanned documentation
Attending to file storage
Undertaking other administrative tasks as and when necessary
Required Standard:
Completion of tasks efficiently and on time as agreed with the Director.
3. TRAINING
Full training in all the above areas (as required) will be provided on commencement.

Salary: From £21,673.00 per year

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
