Global Sustainability Intern, Corporate Affairs

MISSION
Coty’s CEO has put sustainability in the center of the company strategy as one of the six strategic pillars, with the ambition to become an industry leader in sustainability.

As a Global Sustainability Intern, you will be part of our Global Sustainability team within Coty’s Corporate Affairs function. The team has a global scope and works across the three pillars of Coty’s Beauty That Lasts sustainability strategy – Beauty of our Product, our Planet, and our People. The team partners with the different functional teams responsible for the delivery of the strategy. The Sustainability team leads Coty’s sustainability reporting and audit process, and is responsible for sustainability communication and engagement with different internal and external stakeholders.

As the Global Sustainability Intern, you will be responsible for providing communications and reporting support. You will contribute to key projects that support the delivery of our sustainability strategy – responsible sourcing, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion campaigns and Greenhouse Gas and environmental reporting. Your core focus during the six-months will be delivery of Coty’s sustainability report, but there will be many opportunities to support on other projects such as sustainability campaign, benchmarking, developing internal roadmaps and processes for data collection.

THE ROLE

Sustainability Report & Audit Contribute to delivery of Coty’s FY23 Sustainability Report, including assisting with data collection and audit verification, write-ups and design, collating stories, and project management. Support in development of communications and stakeholder engagement plan for launch. Support in the review of the reporting process in particular for environment indicators and GHGs.

Campaigns Work with the Corporate Affairs team and wider business functions to deliver mini-sustainability campaigns internally and externally, including education, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives. Ad hoc copywriting and content creation.

Projects & Support Manage sustainability calendar and ensure synchronization with wider Corporate Affairs calendar. Update and collect sustainability success stories. Support our ESG ratings agency program with research, benchmarking and data collection. Ad hoc support across a range of internal initiatives where sustainability expertise is required.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in sustainability-related discipline desired (environmental, social, or business-related). Previous work experience within a business – multi-national preferred but not essential. Solid understanding of (and passion for!) sustainability, and literate in the key concepts – reporting, DE&I, responsible sourcing and GHG reporting.

Required skills: Strategic and analytical thinker Attention to detail Excellent communicator with strong writing and English language skills Second language at a business level is a plus (French, German, Dutch, Spanish)
