About the role
We’re looking for a Paralegal to support our Head of Legal and Compliance and Senior Legal Counsel in managing the efficient functioning of the legal and compliance process, with a particular emphasis on document management.
Day to day, you’ll:
- Provide administrative and paralegal support to the Legal Team
- Organise and maintain a contract management and reporting system
- Assist with reviewing and drafting NDAs and other commercial contracts
- Create, implement, and maintain registers and databases as required
- Prepare and issue standard documents for signature
- Coordinate routines for regular meetings and compliance activities
- Serve as a triage for enquiries and requests for the Legal Team, escalating matters within the team as required
- Conduct ad hoc legal and compliance research, with a focus on data protection
- Work with the Operations and Commercial teams, and senior management, to ensure effective cross functional communication and reporting Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required by the Legal Team
About you
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Around 2 years’ experience working within a legal function, and some level of legal training, ideally LPC-qualified
- A high level of expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Google Suite
- Experience working with Notion or other work management tools
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Exceptional relationship management skills with a high degree of collaboration
- Excellent attention to detail in a fast paced environment
- A high degree of comfort working in the grey, with the ability to be self-motivated and manage conflicting priorities under pressure and deadlines
- Experience taking the lead on admin activities critical to the organisation and performance of the Legal and Compliance function, including organisation and experience with meticulous electronic filing A "can-do" attitude and be prepared to work in close co-operation with internal and external contacts
