The Data, Privacy and Cyber team is made up of leading advisers for a wide range of clients, offering a deep understanding of the industry sectors in which clients operate combined with real expertise across a wide range of legal services. From start-ups to multinationals, the firm’s comprehensive and commercially focused advice helps clients succeed in an increasingly complex and converged international marketplace.
The team is a fantastic, energetic and sociable group with an extremely impressive and varied client base, predominantly in the technology, advertising and marketing, media, professional services, and entertainment and sport sectors.
The role
You will form part of the market leading Data, Privacy and Cyber team, helping with a diverse and exciting range of work, for example; data subject access requests, data breach responses, commercial contract reviews, collating international advice and advising on all aspects of data protection, privacy and cyber compliance and strategy, both nationally and internationally.
We are seeking a paralegal to join our team; the role would suit a junior paralegal with strong analytical capabilities and the confidence to shoulder responsibility for their own matters and deal directly with clients and lawyers in other jurisdictions.
The candidate would be expected to assist of the team with a range of matters at one time, with a particular focus on carrying out reviews in the context of data subject access requests and all aspects of data protection, privacy and cyber compliance and strategy, both nationally and internationally. The candidate would be able to work remotely and, in the office, – to be discussed according to the candidate and team’s requirements. The candidate will primarily work under the supervision of Mary Traynor, Legal Director, who is based in the Belfast office but will also work with other team members from other offices, including London and Cardiff. Support and relevant training will be provided.

Educational and Professional Qualifications Required:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
