Our Canary Wharf office has a vacancy for a Paralegal for our Immigration Department.
The successful candidate will directly assist our Head of Immigration (Middle East) who undertakes a broad range of Immigration and Asylum matters.
Your duties will include:
- Answering calls and scheduling appointments
- Copying and scanning
- Filing legal forms and general administration tasks
- Initial data entries onto our case management system to open new cases
- Preparing invoices
Skills must include:
- Legal experience is essential
- Answering telephone calls promptly and efficiently, taking messages, and arranging appointments if needed
- Greeting clients and visitors and preparing refreshments as required for meetings
- Typing speed of 70wpm
- Audio typing is desired but not essential
- Attention to detail and pride to your work to draft documents
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- A hard working ethos
- A desire to learn and develop with a friendly approachable manner and a ‘can do’ attitude
- A passion to work with a fast paced professional and friendly team
- Excellent Microsoft office application knowledge
- A good team player who can also work under their own initiative
- Farsi and/or Arabic speaker would be helpful but it is not essential
