Paralegal | Hammersmith, London (working hybrid 3 days per week in our new office)

You'll be working in our Legal team of dedicated, highly skilled legal professionals and operations specialists. You will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of administration and management of incorporated companies are completed efficiently and accurately whilst providing support to the legal team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing fintech where there is a lot of scope to grow and develop new skills. You will be given real responsibility and can learn from two experienced in-house lawyers. This is ideal for someone keen to continue a career in-house or to gain experience for a training contract.
What you will do:
  • Provide accurate and efficient paralegal services to the business and a range of global clients
  • Communicate with clients clearly and in a timely manner on all questions in respect of the product, legal documents and account opening process
  • Draft and review simple agreements such as process agent letters, NDAs and introducer agreements
  • Provide support to the compliance team in conducting due diligence and liaise with third party providers to ensure they have all the KYC material they need to carry out their processes
  • Draft, amend and proofread documents and send updated copies to clients, solicitors and any other parties who require them
  • Communicate internally with the onboarding team, sales team and support teams where necessary - escalating any issues to supervising lawyers and/or the compliance team
  • Participate in regular team meetings and identify opportunities for continuous improvement to further improve the service offered by the team
  • Update company details and file forms on Companies House ensuring information is correct and up to date
  • Work closely with other business areas including marketing and operations on company projects
Essential skills and experience:
  • Law degree or a Graduate Diploma in Law
  • You've worked in a similar role and have company law experience e.g. with companies house filings
  • With a high attention to detail, you work quickly and are highly organised
  • You are calm, assertive, friendly and a team player. You are resilient and adaptable to change
  • You are an effective problem-solver
  • Proficient with IT systems and programmes i.e. G Suite and Hubspot
