About the team
The Employment and Labour group at Deloitte Legal Canada advises our clients on all aspects of the employment relationship, in unionized and non-unionized settings, at both the provincial and federal level. We act as a trusted, agile, business-savvy advisor in empowering clients to achieve their business goals. We have the privilege of being affiliated with Deloitte, a world-renowned professional services firm, and being able to collaborate with other entities of the group worldwide.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
- Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 2-5 years’ experience practicing in a prominent management-side boutique, or in the labour and employment group of a national or global top-tier law firm. Demonstrated interest and commitment to labour and employment law is essential and workplace investigations.
- Excellent, detail-oriented drafting, research, analysis, and communication skills, together with sound client management skills and experiences.
- Shows high qualities of self-reflection, self-awareness, self-management and insight.
- An entrepreneurial, resourceful spirit with the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Fluency in oral and written French is an asset, but not required.
- Ability to think strategically and confident using proper judgment to make sound decisions.
- Proficient in standard office software such as MS Word, Outlook, and Adobe.
- Excellent time management skills; ability to effectively manage conflicting requirements and priorities.
- Strong communication, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
- Self-motivated to achieve high standards in all aspects of work.
- Client service oriented and professional.
