Parade Gardens is a Grade II listed park in the centre of Bath’s World Heritage Site. The site attracts around 120,000 visitors/year and is open to paying guests for around eight months each year. Income from paying visitors is used to cover the costs of maintaining an award-winning garden and to help support the costs of running parks and green spaces across the district.


Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking to appoint two kiosk attendants to work in the Gardens entrance kiosk, welcoming and processing payments from visitors and providing information to the public as required.


The role will involve:


  • Providing front-of-house services to visitors of the Parade Gardens. This involves ensuring that all visitors are welcomed and informed in a friendly and courteous way.
  • Ensuring admittance transactions are accurately processed and handled.
  • Creating a positive experience for visitors.

Parade Gardens kiosk staff work a five hour shift each day. This role provides cover for an average of four days each week as a 20 hours/week rota, working on a four days on/four days off shift pattern.


Kiosk opening hours are from 10am – 6pm. Shift patterns are 9 am – 2pm and 2pm – 7pm.
