Title: Social Worker
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 6 £35,522 - £43,286 pro rata per annum + Enhancement depending on candidate experience.
Hours/Contract: 37.5hrs a week
Contract Type: Permanent
Based: Edinburgh Hospice

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated social worker to join our Patient and Family Support Team.
A central focus of the social work role at Marie Curie is creating and nurturing therapeutic relationships with people facing profound loss. You will provide emotional, psychological and practical support to patients at the end of life, their families and carers across inpatient and community settings. You will also help to deliver bereavement support to individuals with the opportunity to facilitate groups.
You will work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues and assess patients requiring help with personal care to safely return home from the hospice. You will also have an important role in ensuring appropriate support is provided to adults and children at risk.
