Reports To: Director, Maintenance & Operations
Job Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary: Prepares Sheetrock and areas that will be painted. Will be painting inside and outside. Work with a work order process. Need to be a team player and work with staff and students. Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, layout, install, and repair Sheetrock, apparatus and control equipment.
- Must have knowledge of applicable safety rules; use basic tools and care of the tools, knowledgeable of fire protection
- Use of hand electric power tools and pneumatic tools and care for these tools
- Basic knowledge of material nomenclature, assist mechanics in assembly and work performance; demolition; cleaning; removing debris; housekeeping
- Building maintenance; handling trash; and assisting in maintenance and construction. Able to safely drive a golf cart or similar vehicle.
- The ability to speak, read and write English, make simple calculations, and follow simple written and oral directions is required.
Qualifications:
- Entry Level
- Industrial construction/maintenance industry experience preferred
- 3 years prior painting experience.
