In this role, you will be responsible for operating our state-of-the-art spray finishing department and ensuring that all manufactured timber products meet our high-quality standards. Your main tasks will include preparing items for the spray booth, applying primer coats, and achieving a flawless paint finish according to individual order specifications. We have recently made significant investments in our facilities, including a new bespoke in-house spray booth equipped with an overhead running track, an infrared drying tunnel, and an air-assisted spray system.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare joinery items for the spray booth, ensuring they meet company standards through sanding, applying sealants, and other necessary measures.
2. Apply primer coats to the prepared items to establish a smooth and consistent base.
3. Expertly apply a range of paint finishes, paying close attention to detail and consistency.
4. Maintain a clean and tidy work area in the spray booth, adhering to safety and cleanliness guidelines.
5. Carefully lift and move completed joinery items into the spray booth, exercising caution to avoid any damage.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a 40-hour workweek. Opportunities for overtime are also available.

The listed salary does not include overtime rates, and the actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a paint sprayer/finisher, preferably in a similar industry.
2. Excellent knowledge of surface preparation techniques, including sanding, sealing, and priming.
3. Proficiency in applying various paint finishes, such as lacquer, enamel, and acrylic.
4. Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of spray booths and related equipment.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently achieve high-quality finishes.
6. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
7. Physical capability to lift and move joinery items safely.

If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for delivering outstanding results, we would love to hear from you. Join our team at R & E Falkingham LTD and contribute to our commitment to excellence in timber product finishes.
