Apollo Accident Repair Group are the largest repair Group on the South Coast and still growing. Our Southampton site has an opening for an experienced Vehicle Paint Technician. This is a challenging but highly rewarding role.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Tasks

Prepare, paint and finish vehicles to the highest standard in the time specified for each job.

Routine Tasks and responsibilities

To carry out all types of vehicle body refinishing work using the appropriate method for relevant vehicle materials, in full accordance with professional standards of workmanship and vehicle roadworthiness, including:

  • Pre-paint preparation
  • Priming and painting/lacquering when required
  • Any necessary rectification of defects;
  • Cosmetic work, on allocated jobs.
  • Polishing

The successful applicant with have completed a recognised apprenticeship as a Paint / Prep Technician and gained a technical qualification. ATA or NVQ would be beneficial but not essential. Additionally, individuals who have trained on-the-job will also be considered. Either way, you must have previous experience of working as a Panel Technician in a busy bodyshop and be a strong team player. You will maintain high standards at all times and be confident in your ability to work on a wide range of makes and models of cars.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £14.00-£15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus scheme

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Southampton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • painting: 3 years (preferred)
