Role

We are actively looking for a Research & Insight Assistant to join our busy Marketing / Product & Proposition team for the summer! This team covers all aspects of Research & Insight for Endsleigh including product development, market trends, marketing, customer experience, thought leadership, online communities, to name a few.

The role of Research & Insight Assistant will cover a multitude of areas across our team including supporting the Research & Insight Manager in delivering research and insight to support product development, measurement of customer experience, and producing the market-leading Student Happiness Index report which will be published externally.

You’ll have the opportunity to express your ideas and give insight on future products that will deliver real-world results in our core markets of Not-for-profit, Education and Student.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Understanding how to analyse and interpret data that adds value and insight to the business.
  • Remaining open-minded and creative to provide key learnings and recommendations to the business supported by consumer and market insights.
  • Helping all areas of the business with their research requests around our consumers, products, the market, and our competitors.
  • Staying up to date with developments in the industry, with particular attention to trends, social media, consumer behaviour and data/analytics tools.
  • With oversight from the Research & Insight Manager, responsible for developing and managing our online student research community.This will involve scripting surveys and put together discussion guides for research interviews.
  • Working with Digital and Marketing, to manage UX testing on our website, app, and other marketing campaigns.
  • Work alongside the Research & Insight Manager, and Marketing team, to develop the report for the Student Happiness Index.This will include interviews, surveys, data analysis and delivering insight. You will also be supporting the design and copywriting of the report.
  • Management of the Voice of the Customer programme - working closely with the Retention & Servicing team.This will involve ensuring continuous regular reporting and ad hoc requests are delivered in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Product & Proposition team to deliver evidence to support the development of new products.

Person

We are looking for someone who has an analytical mind, and an interest in consumer behaviour. Ideally you will have strong data skills, and a "can-do", entrepreneurial spirit and opportunity led problem solving capability.

  • Some knowledge of research methodologies and understanding of best practice in conducting research.
  • Computer literate with competent Excel skills.
  • High level of customer focus and understanding of customer needs.
  • Excellent track record of building positive relationships at all levels.
  • High level presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent time management experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal team members and others across the business.
  • This role would suit those who are studying a degree involving Marketing, Psychology, Data Analysis.
