Your key accountabilities will include:- Support the Paid Media Manager with delivering performance targets and co-ordinate the multi-million pound budget, to ensure maximum performance is delivered at the most efficient cost.
- Provide leadership and direction on day-to-day management to the junior member of the team - Assistant Paid Search Manager.
- Agency management of key partners, ensuring we are getting the service needed from all contacts.
- Communicate briefs to the PPC agency and monitor budgets at an account and category level.
- Ensure our PPC accounts are adopting best in class practices with a strong focus on automation, optimisation and testing.
- Push innovation within the channel and manage day to day search marketing activities across multiple search engines (Google, Bing) including bidding strategies, creative testing and optimization via analytics.
- Support the development for near and long term PPC account strategies, roadmaps and oversee execution of day-to-day tactics that increase revenue, site traffic, conversion and margins as well as aligning with the wider digital marketing channels strategy whilst supporting the customer acquisition and retention strategies/targets.
- Support the Paid Media Manager in weekly trade meetings by collating and reporting Paid Search results and headlines.
- Work with the PPC agency to deliver a ‘total search’ strategy and bring cost efficiencies across Paid Search.
- Utilise the Customer Data Platform to drive cost efficiencies, improved targeting capabilities with a relentless focus on incrementality.
- Seek out new initiatives in media to optimise and innovate.
- Working closely with the Measurement & Transformation Manager to deliver a market leading measurement solution and test & learn road map that will enable M&S to make strategic budget decisions based on the incremental ROAS delivered per channel and media strategy.
- Work with the other performance marketing channel owners including affiliates, display, paid social, SEO and CRM to deliver seamless cross channel customer targeting.
- Support the wider paid media team in the delivery of department OKR’s.
- Keeping up with industry trends and news and communicating to wider team and business where relevant.
- Strong background and proven track record in PPC marketing
- Able to operate at both a strategic and tactical level with a blend of analytical, creative and numerical skills.
- Extremely results driven with a history of delivering short- and long-term customer targets.
- Highly numerate and able to thrive in a fact and data-driven environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management, proven experience of influencing in a complex business.
- Strong digital analytics capability and experienced in using marketing tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Search Ads 360 and Google Ads.
- Experience or knowledge of Google Analytics desirable.
- Confident in managing external agency/supplier relationships.
